| Description | In Ulrichs von Liechtenstein Frauendienst tauchen zahlreiche Motive auf, welche von einem weitgehenden Kulturtransfer zeugen dürften. Das deutlichste Beispiel dafür ist die Venusfahrt des Erzählers, wobei der bislang abgewiesene Ritter den Einsatz deutlich erhöht, und eine im Ganzen vollkommen inszenierte Liebesfahrt unternimmt. Dabei schafft er nicht nur zwischen seiner eigenen ritterlichen Kultur und der weit entfernten Antike eine plakative Verbindung, sondern versucht, dank der Instrumentalisierung der Liebestradition, von der verachteten Peripherie her ins ersehnte Zentrum zu gelangen. ; In Ulrich von Liechtenstein's Frauendienst numerous motives appear that can be considered as evidence of an extensive cultural transfer. The best example is the Venusfahrt as the previously rejected Ritter raises considerably the stakes and takes a thoroughly organised 'love journey'. He does not only create a connection between his contemporary chivalrous culture and the distant Antiquity, but also, thanks to the instrumentalization of love tradition, attempts to leave his detested life on the periphery, to reach the desired centre. | - |
