The collection at hand offers a multilayered historical overview, though in need of some addition, of the incest problematic from the Thirteenth to the Twentieth Century. It contains interdisciplinary studies on the historically changing definition of incest as well as the changing ways of approaching the phenomenon of incest itself. Differing perceptions of familial relations and sexual norms, negotiated within the framework of the incest thematic, form the core concern of the study. |
