| Beschreibung: | En el presente artículo se analizan dos representaciones inusuales del músico Orfeo en la emblemática renacentista y barroca: las procedentes de los tratadistas Dionysius Lebeus-Batillius y Johannes Sambucus. Además de limitar al máximo cualquier referencia a los maravillosos sonidos que el joven músico era capaz de crear, estos emblemistas realizaron interpretaciones bastante novedosas del mito gracias al hecho de haber destacado datos poco conocidos como son la relación de Orfeo con el príncipe Neanto y con el poeta griego Homero. ; In the following paper we will analyze two unusual representations of Orpheus within the context of several Renaissance and Baroque emblems: those from the emblematists Dionysius Lebeus-Batillius and Johannes Sambucus. Apart from trying to stay away from a explicit reference to the wonderful sounds created by this young musician, these emblemists made novel interpretations of the myth since they emphasized little-known facts such as Orpheus’s relation with the Prince Neanto and Homer. |
