Gran parte de estos escritos han permanecido ocultos en archivos familiares y, por tanto, desconocidos para buena parte de la investigación. A través del análisis de esta variada documentación pretendemos averiguar qué factores inciden en los viajes de las mujeres de época moderna, las formas y los medios en los que estos desplazamientos se llevan a cabo, así como los prejuicios y estereotipos a los que tuvieron que enfrentarse para así esbozar un perfil de las mujeres viajeras en España. ; Along with the well-known testimonies of travelers who visited the Iberian Peninsula in modern times, there were also writings made by women who embarked on an uncommon destination when the usual was the journey through Grand Tour’s countries. Lots of these writings have remained hidden in familiar archives and, therefore, unknown for much of the research. Through the analysis of this varied documentation, we intend to find out what factors influence the travel of modern women, the forms and means in which these displacements are carried out, as well as the prejudices and stereotypes that they had to face. The objective is getting a profile of the women travelers in Spain. |
