DescriptionThis paper deals with an unknown Bohemical illuminated manuscript from the Austrian National Library in Vienna, which dates back to 1557 and which was dedicated to Ferdinand I of Habsburg (Cod. 11704). The illuminations of the manuscript were commissioned in Prague and they could be connected with a Prague Old Town guild painter Fabián Puléř. The commission of the painting completes the existing image of the relation between the court cultural circle, Catholic representatives of the Church and the Prague community of guild painters in the mid-16th century.-
