| Description: | This paper introduces a study on marital behavior and family in Modern Age Cordoba. The object of the study has been the canonical provisions emanating from the diocesan synods as well as pastoral letters on the sacrament of marriage praxis and the sins committed in the area of privacy; the judicial and executive tools used by bishops to try to regularize the transgressions back to the established ecclesiastical norms. The succession of provisions and writings allow us to evaluate, from a diachronic perspective, the persistence or change of certain traditions and customs that were part of everyday life and, therefore, the way of thinking at that time. ; En el presente artículo, se presenta un estudio de los comportamientos conyugales y familiares en la Córdoba de la Edad Moderna. Se ha tomado como objeto de estudio las disposiciones canónicas que emanaron de los sínodos diocesanos y las cartas pastorales sobre la praxis del matrimonio sacramento y sobre los pecados cometidos en el espacio de la intimidad. Herramienta procesal y ejecutiva utilizada por los distintos obispos con el fin de intentar regularizar las transgresiones a la norma eclesiástica establecida. La sucesión de disposiciones y escritos permite valorar, desde una perspectiva diacrónica, la pervivencia o la mudanza de determinados usos y costumbres que formaban parte de la vida cotidiana y, por tanto, del pensamiento de la época. |
