| Description | Mit dem Thema "Materialität der Erziehung" wird insgesamt eine Fragestellung zwischen aktuellen Problemen der Pädagogik sowie Kultur- und Sozialgeschichte aufgegriffen, die das Potential hat, sowohl die materielle Dimension und Kontinuität der Erziehung als auch neue interdisziplinäre und internationale Perspektiven der Bildungsgeschichte und anderer erziehungswissenschaftlicher Teildisziplinen zu erschließen. Dies geschieht im Rückgriff auf bereits vorhandene Vorarbeiten der Alltags- und Mentalitätsgeschichte und im Vorgriff auf eine weitere Forschungsperspektive, bei der Materialität als eine grundlegende und mehrdimensionale Kategorie einen zentralen Stellenwert für die Analyse von Erziehungs- und Bildungsprozessen einnimmt. Die [.] Mehrdimensionalität bezieht sich auf politische, administrative, soziale, ästhetische, körperlich-sinnliche, funktionale, formale und personale Aspekte der Erziehung und der Bildung. [.] Im ersten Abschnitt "Verortung" geht es um fünf grundlegende Dimensionen der Erforschung der materiellen Kultur. [.] Der zweite Abschnitt "Praktiken" widmet sich dem Zusammenhang von kulturellen Praktiken und Repräsentationen. [.] Im dritten Abschnitt "Vergegenständlichungen" werden pädagogische Effekte von Schulmöbeln, Kleidung und didaktischen Objekten thematisiert.
