BeschreibungIn this paper two different approaches for matching words from books from the Renaissance period are compared. The first methodology is a novel search-based approach, while the second one is based on FNS-Finite Numerical Sequences. Both methodologies are illustrated with several examples. The comparison of the results obtained with both methodologies are presented, being also discussed the contribution that both of these methodologies can give to word recognition tasks. Key words-
