| Description | El artículo estudia las elecciones de alcaldes ordinarios de la villa de Albacete en la época de los Austrias. A través de dicho estudio analizamos las disputas de las principales familias y sus clientelas que quieren detentar este oficio para dirigir u orientar su acción de gobierno a favor de unos intereses particularistas. En la segunda parte del trabajo reflejamos la pérdida de privilegios a la que se vio sometida la villa como consecuencia de estos enfrentamientos oligárquicos. ; The following article studies how the elections of the ordinary mayors in the town of Albacete were carried out during the times of the Austrias. It analyses the disputes the important families and their supporters had when wanting to use this post to meet their private interests.
